ME/RG America
We Are:
A Multi-Ethnic/Racial Group
To Celebrate All
ME/RG America
Founded by Avani Haden from a mixed-heritage family in 2021, ME/RG America helps parents, teachers, grandparents, and health professionals support children of mixed racial and ethnic heritage. As more children are counted as multiracial, families still encounter forms, records, and school situations that ask them to fit into one box; we offer clear information, useful resources, and ways to build belonging
Goals
Our Goals are Growing and Evolving: All are Welcome
⁃ To provide a welcoming space for children of all colors and multi-racial/ethnic descent to explore and celebrate all aspects of their heritage
⁃ To provide educational opportunities through community outreach programming and free tutoring
⁃ To mentor, provide support, advice and role modeling through the strength of the individuals in our group
⁃ To support self esteem and resiliency for children of any color and multi ethnic descent through small group projects
⁃ To increase awareness and respect in the community for the unique perspectives that those with multiethnic heritage can offer
Our Mission:
-
-In Schools: promoting affinity groups for multiethnic children
-In Civic Life: contacting representatives and school board members
-In Government: engaging with local civic and community organizations
-Speaking up where it can help a child achieve their potential
