About 6 Million U.S. Adults Identify as Afro-Latino
Pew Research asked the question the census never quite manages, and the answer was six million: that is how many US adults identify as Afro-Latino, about 12% of adult Latinos. One finding deserves its own headline: roughly one in seven Afro-Latinos does not identify as Hispanic at all, which means the standard forms miss them twice.
